BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - A woman found three young men with a gun standing in her Bloomfield Township house.
Her 911 call had the sound of pure terror as she screamed after discovering the intruders. Her first call goes dead, dispatchers called her back and find out that the suspects have left.
Bloomfield Township police were on their way as the homeowner in her 60s gave police a description of the three young guys with a gun.
Police dash cam footage shows officers arriving at the scene within minutes. Right away they spot a dark colored Pontiac on Acorn Road. Inside the vehicle, three suspects matching the suspect's description. T
Inside the car, a gun, the victim's purse while in the trunk was a mallet, a 12-gauge shotgun and a white Halloween mask.
The suspects - Hayward McAllister, Desmond Fayne and Dorian Kellam, all 17 years old from Pontiac. They have since been charged with armed robbery and home invasion.
FOX 2 is told they admitted to investigators that they chose the house at random because the house was dark.
They first stole items from the unlocked car in the driveway. They found the garage door opener and used that to access the unlocked door into the house.
Once the homeowner spotted the trio - they grabbed her purse and ran. She told dispatchers all she could do was scream - but her reaction may be what saved her life.
The woman's husband was home at the time, but was sleeping - finally waking up to learn what had happened. Luckily no one was hurt.
