WEB UPDATE (8 p.m.): One lane has been reopened allowing traffic to clear.
A semi-truck on fire has caused a total closure of I-275 Downriver Friday night.
Sometime after 6 p.m. the truck caught on fire near the Sibley exit. All lanes have been shut down on the south bound side. The fire has caused a backup for miles with vehicles being slowly diverted using the median between sides of the freeway.
